IMEX UNITED Entrepreneur Gets First Place
Yiwu, January 2021. Since the contest launch in July 2020, the “Beautiful Zhejiang” International Short Video Contest has attracted numerous video creators from home and abroad to participate. All submitted works should reflect the theme of the contest and show the historical achievements in Zhejiang in terms of economy, culture, society and ecology.
In particular, the impressive progress in terms of developing a moderately prosperous society should be shown in its all-round way. On January 14, 2021, the final jury conference of the “@Beautiful Zhejiang” Global Short Video Contest was held in Hangzhou.
Marinella Fortino got on the winner’s podium with her video entry “Nella in her 20th: Devoting youth to business in Yiwu”.
Original and thematically profound works were created and submitted to the jury by the participants. Nine jury members commented on the entries in terms of themes, creative ideas and video techniques in person or via video exchange.
Huang Wei, general manager of Zhejiang TV International, presided over the jury conference, introduced the contest entries and evaluation criteria, and announced the judging.
“Through the video entries, I had a chance to learn about thoughts and daily lives of people in Zhejiang,” said juror Vikram Channa, vice president and head of Discovery Channel’s East and South Asia division.
The “Beautiful Zhejiang” international short film competition is not only a platform for video makers at home and abroad, but also serves as an important window to exchange ideas and learn from each other.
After pre-selection, online voting and final jury evaluation, General Manager Huang Wei announced the final results of the contest and awarded the winners of the International Short Video Contest. IMEX UNITED Managing Director, Marinella Fortino convinced the jury with her life story and her career as a German-Italian entrepreneur in Yiwu. Her video entry “Nella in her 20th: Devoting youth to business in Yiwu” was awarded first place by the jury.
